That's fine. If you end up getting a team of developers, you'll want someone who's business minded around you to properly figure out how to best monetise your game anyway. EA thinks free to play is the future, and I think that that's not a viable solution to every kind of game. How would you make single player tomb raider free to play?
There's already a square enix game on iOS that gives you one level for free. In japan the same game is 15 dollars. Here you have to pay per level. The whole game must then be purchased level by level. The total cost is 50+ dollars. Soooo that's a fail.
I think a DLC polling system makes the most sense. The developers, specially for smalller/budget games, should release polls (in game, email, etc), asking if players are interested and willing to buy DLC. With this data they could garner a much better feel for the market, and release DLC of appropriate size/value.
I feel this could be easily be added to the psn store...if sony cared about making money...
