I am very sure everyone or at least most StarHawk beta players are disliking the Knife.  I though of new controls for the knife instead of just pressing R3 and automatically running and killing your enemy.

My Idea-

press R3: Equip Knife.

press R1: Slash

press R3: Un-equip Knife.

I think its a really nice idea for the Knife in StarHawk. Anyone else agree/disagree?  Anyone have any other ideas?

I like it. I posted elsewhere about the knife. I think either this idea, or nerfing it in terms of range, speed and facestabs. But yes, it is OP.

I like games that make it 2 knives to the front and 1 to the back. I dislike the method of spunge 90% of your health and just do a insta knife kill, I do it all the time cuz I know how badly it auto aims for me once I connect it its over.

What I do like about this system is that both players have the chance to knife each other but both are dead.

+ for the double knife system

- for Auto Aim

- Hint when to Knife

- for Instant Death anyside

Clearly you weren't around in the beta. You used to be able to tap R3 within 5 meters of a guy and go auto sprinting for a OHK knife swipe. This also  a Jan. 2012 thread.
