@lee: Yep. It is airmines. Everytime ive been XMB kicked, airmines have been near. Phoenix also flew past airmines and got kicked.
Now incendio is a different story. I cant see because of the mini map
I looked back through the footage from that match. I flew through a few enemy air mines that were located above our base 17 seconds before getting XMB kicked. Right when I got XMB kicked, I was headed for our base, which still had a few enemy and friendly airmines above it.
Ok so now i wanna really test this thing out, is anyone up for a private heavyweight where we have 2 controllers on and a sht load of mines above the base just boosting through them to see if we get XMB kicked?
air mines are almost always the cause of xmb kicks. They can be exploited like ben said and used to cause xmb kicks to the other team if they get spammed above home bases or grouped up in one spot some where over a map. Sometimes if there are a mix of euro players and us players it only takes about 8-12 mines to start causing mass kicks. In a 5 v 5 cb once the other team spammed them intentionally over our home base and within minutes all 3 pilots on our side got kicked while our 2 ground guys remained.
The only times i can think of where i got xmb kicked and air mines weren't spammed everywhere were when it was a euro host.
So in all reality couldn't they just go in make a small patch to remove the air mines from the game? I wonder if that has ever been mentioned to the guys in control.
it would probally solve most the xmb kicks. They are uselss in most regards anyways so i wouldn't see the harm of taking them out.
