If you haven't already checked out Star Citizen you should.  Almost the entire crew making the game are former LightBox guys.  The game development is wide open so the fans can see a game being made from scratch.  They have live web feeds every Friday called WingMan's Hanger and you can see interviews with everyone making the game.

Yes, the 8 employees that stayed back are still making mobile games, the rest seeked a better career in video games that actually mattered.
