Starhawk PSN names revealed

150 replies 841 views Edited Aug 2, 2012

I was just wondering how or why everyone picked their name.  I'll start first:

"Bill, go see Bob."

After Bill was in trouble, I'd tell him to go see Bob.

(I was a leadman in the company and Bob was the owner)

This happened quite often so everyone started to call me

Bilsebob.

Bill was Bob's son and it was an ongoing joke.

Was my nick name in school.

Based on my last name and recreational activities / source of income during "High" school.

Seriously, there's just certain things that we must accept about the PS4. In time, it may get better, who knows.

I did this exact thread on my clan page the other day. GOW71: God of War was my 1st ps3 title and all my nicknames were taken hence the GOW. The 71 was my football jersey in high school and has remained my favorite number.

Fun thread.

My first run through internet competitive gaming was UnrealTournament.  Played UT(orignial) as PornStar, but by the end there were 6 different Pornstars with different character variations (I was the original :smileytongue:), joined a clan called [FORCE] and changed my name to Irresistible for something unique that no one could claim cause they thought it was cool.  Clan fell apart 2 weeks later, but I kept the name and joined #1 ranked low grav clan [BIO].  A girl there made me my first forum sig, but she misspelled Irresistible with an a "Irresistable", she was sweet so I changed it to the misspelled version, and now I had unique. Over the next 6 years of UT/UT2003/UT2004 on voice and forums it just got shortened to "Irres" or "Irr".  169 was my fraternity pledge number, and psn made me add a number would not just give me Irres.

A childhood nickname followed by my prefered approach to lategame in Civ.

I'm a possum. I'm usually a nice possum, but if you show up just to spite the game, boast, or try to get the game catered to you, be warned: I bite. Have a nice day!

Mine is, I am from Texas, but i moved to chicago. So i wanted to stay connected to my southern side which is "Southern".

My original idea was " Southern Man", but i am too young to be considered a man. So i used "Dude".

I was told that my ideal name looked boring just being "Southern Dude", so i fixed it and made it "Southern_DuDe". I figured i would use a number, so i used 20, my jersey number on my best year on the volleyball team.

So i ended up with my name "Southern_DuDe_20".

:manlol::manlol: Highlighted name seems appropriate, and now I know what IRRES is short for. I have been saying I-Rez this whole time in my head and will more than likely not change that.:mantongue:

Mine is easy and not nearly as good of a story. I have played guitar for most of my life, I am sure everyone knows what a guitar "lick" is and a "hot" guitar player is one that plays either fast or is tonally excellent or both.

Now how I decided my "cyber" name is I used to be a huge GH/RB player and was very competitive, and was somewhat well know on the Scorehero forums. Anyway, on my former handle EXKCM I played with a guy that I am sure was an Aussie or was from the area anyway. Well after an "FC" (perfect run) on a very difficult song (Cliffs of Dover) this guy which I have forgotten his name sadly, said "Your gun mate, you have hot licks". I really liked that and it fit much better as my handle for competitive music-rhythm gaming.:manhappy:

And 86 comes from 1986, which was the year I was born.
