There are only a handful of people that frequent this particular forum that even get involved with signatures and I believe all of them are in this months poll.

This contest runs in multiple sections of the forum. I don't see why it is meeting such resistance here.

I am pointing out that a contest that simply said "Post your Starhawk sigs! We'll have a vote to select the best one. Please abide by the forum terms and conditions" will likely do more for the community and its members than writing a treatise about what you can't do and then having folks speculate as to why an entrant will be disqualified. Look for ways to get more people to enter the contest, not less.

You are correct that there are only a handful of people that frequent this forum that are involved with signatures. There are only a handful of people that frequent this forum, period. Those that post regularly might want to think about why that is and what they can do to increase participation.

It great that you want the community to participate. Picking apart a contest that works well across the entirety of the forums and has for some time without quarrel except for here probably isn't the best method of facilitating participation.

The contest isn't the problem. The rules aren't the problem. At this point I guess we have to concede to not see eye to eye. Enjoy your weekend.

I would be willing to wager a rather large amount that my comments about the contest don't change the participation level between the January and February iterations. Trying it my way, though, might. I guess we'll never know.

Yes and its darn loud when it happens! Sometimes it even kills things like poor little unsuspecting animals who didn't realize a big mean and nasty tree was ready to fall on them.
