ok so i had been playing with my settings on cooperative/playstation network. i have joined a friend for some coop play and had no issues for several hours til the game froze and i was forced to reboot my ps3. now i picked up on the mission we were on when i froze but decided to play alone rather than have my buddy have to redo the parts i missed. i played alone for several more hours and quit.  the next day when i started the game back up it saved nothing from the point  where i froze out of the game with my friend....i was upset of course but as i played it all again and passed where he was i paused the game to go into the game lobby and search for him....the "game lobby" option was gray and i cant click it even though my settings are coop/psn.........WTF?     what am i doing wrong?

I'm not sure I understand exactly what's going on...

but make sure you selected "single Player" or "cooperative"

Before you even start the game, go to "play" and not "continue".

From play, go to online and select whichever setting you want. Single player, co-op, etc. That should do it.

If not...I'm no sure. Hope I helped though.

yeah thats the way i do it....but now i just started the game back up....i was at chapter 8 when i stopped playing last, just a few hours ago and now i can access the pause menu game lobby but guess what.....no save   im back to chapter 4....i so want to destroy this PIECE OF S&%T GAME!!

found this on the Dead Island tech support forum posted by a user...

"The ps3 seems to lose the connection to the servers after an amount of time, thats why saving doesnt work. If you want to know if you lost your connection, check the gamelobby ingame. If it cant find anymore players, it doesnt save, unlock trophies etc. I fixed it by setting the gametype to singleplayer and logging out from psn."

i cant seem to invite my friend he says my version isnt update date and nothing is showing to dl so and i have auto dl on right now

and the trophy and saving is bsing as well id is game even out what the hell were the thinking

I think I have found the fix for the Connection issues. The answer is simple its the DLC bloodbath arena causing the issue. I figured it  out when 2 of my friends wanted to play co-op with me one had the DLC (like me) and joined fine but my friend without can't connect nor can I connect to him But his friend without the DLC can. I hope this help ya'll and anybody want play DI with me my id is XxGhost_93xX..... I do have the DLC though....
