Which do you reccomend? Btw I want a horror game with really good story and awesome atmosphere.
I liked Siren blood curse alo btw!
I have so far eyes Dead space and Silent hill.
There are not too many survival horror video games for the PlayStation 3 at the moment so it truly is a toss up between Silent Hill: Homecoming (PS3) and Dead Space (PS3)... DS has a much better storyline than SHH (IMO) but both video games have a strong atmosphere component so it really depends on what you are looking for in particular...
DS is far more action-orientated than SHH but SHH is more action-orientated than its predecessors. If you want a relatively in-depth analysis of Silent Hill: Homecoming (PS3), check out my response in the Silent Hill Homecoming Opinions? thread in the Survival Horror Genre section of the PlayStation Forums. It should help you decide whether or not to stay clear from this video game... If you decide that SHH isn't a video game you can fully enjoy than pick up Dead Space (PS3)!
Have you played Resident Evil 4 (PS2) alchemist007? If you liked Resident Evil 4 (PS2) there is a good chance that you will like Dead Space (PS3). I cannot guarantee that it will become one of your all-time favorite video games (I still prefer RE4 to DS) but it is definitely something that you should rent (if nothing else)! Dead Space (PS3) borrows a lot from other video games but in the end it turns out to be a well-rounded third-person shooter survival horror video game with action/adventure elements much like Resident Evil 4 (PS2). If you haven't already checked out Argetlam532's Dead Space Review you can find it in the MVP Game Reviews section of the PlayStation Forums! It's one of the best reviews I have read for Dead Space (PS3) thus far...
If there is one thing that makes Dead Space (PS3) really stand out (IMO) it's the atmosphere. I would definitely recommend DS to any survival horror video gamers out there who are mildly interested in this video game! If you are a third-person shooter or action/adventure video gamer you'll probably enjoy DS but the survival horror atmosphere is what really makes this video game shine (IMHO)!
THank you very much for your answer. After reading about both I am almost certain that I will Pick up Dead Space!
I loved RE4 and I really would like a game to have a great atmosphere.
Thank you.

For me, the best PS3 horror game is Silent Hill: Homecoming...
But there are some others that are pretty awesome too, like Siren BC..
You might also want to take a look at SAW, the game is not that great but its still pretty good IMHO, and it has great atmosphere, especially if you liked the Saw movies....

"Heavy Rain" looks like it would be closest to the kind of game that Siren Blood Curse is, and its coming out soon. I'm going to wait before I buy it, I don't pay $50.00 or so dollars for games that only have 10-20 hours of gameplay time*cough Siren blood curse*. I wait for them to drop to $10-20 Dollars
Also you might check out "Alone in the Dark"
I recently switched from primarily a PC gamer to a PS3, since I finally got a PS3, and a 40inch 1080p HD TV.
I have played the following that all have alot of horror content (also did all the resident evil's on ps1, ps2)
Half-Life 1, 2+ (PC)
Dead Space (PC)
BioShock(PC)
Fear2(PC)
Resident Evil 5(PS3)
Siren Blood Curse (PS3 Demo)
I rate them in this order
1) Half-Life2 Best game of all time IMO. Massive alien horror atmosphere(think Resident evil secret goverment biohazard project gone wrong, but with aliens on a War of the Worlds size scale), the head crabs attach themselves to peoples faces and turn them into zombies (thats just a small part of what goes on) best game series of all time, but not sure how it translates to consoles.
2) Bioshock, has alot of horror content, maybe more horror content than any of these other games, more scare moments and has a unique atmosphere(think Sky Captiain and the World of Tommorow meats Devils Rejects), it grows on you as you play it, a good amount of gameplay for your money compared to current day standards(which is bad, 15hrs gameplay time for games that are $50.00 is lame) but bioshock is a deep game.
It played like FPS on PC, not sure how it plays on PS3.
3) Resident Evil 5 love all those, great replay value.
4) Dead Space, Looks great, great atmosphere, but kinda corridor shooter ish, you repeat the same area's just backwards, no other character interaction(feels isolated) Good but not much bang for your buck, you'll beat in a few days to a week.
5) Siren Blood Curse, amazing atmosphere, awesome game, but waaaaaay to short, $40.00 for 12 hours or so of gameplay time is LAME, I may not buy this because of short gameplay time, and NO TROPHIES
6) Fear 2, feels very much like a first person shooter, but nothing original, rehashed ideas from other games like Half Life, and Resident evil, and other FPS's but not as good. Decent amount of gameplay for your money though.
I'm going to get Bioshock on PS3, and play through it again on my 40 inch Toshiba 1080p HD tv
I will probably get Dead space for PS3 and play it again too, kinda short but the price has come down, so good value now, while we wait for BioShock 2, Dead Space 2, and Heavy Rain.
FYI, the second best game I ever played next to the Half-Life series, is "Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines", but its PC only, I recently checked again to see if there every released a PS3 version and they have not. to bad it would have been my next game for PS3. Its amazing, it is one of the few games that satisfied my FPS, and RGP, and Horror addictions all in one game. I can't stop thinking about it 2 years after I played it through it like 4 times.
you can put your ps3 online and simply download the following demo's from the playstation store directly to your ps3 and try them out.
BioShock
Dead Space
Alone in the Dark(I downloded it havne't tried it yet)
Siren Blood Curse(you already have that)
couldn't find a Silent hill demo download on playstation network.. I wanted to check it out
