It's not even realism, but a more suspenseful and rational alteration to the current listen-mode.

Just to let you guys know, EVERYONE has it in multiplayer. It's not a "booster." There are only boosters to not be seen by it. However, you can use it against your enemy just as much as they can use it against you. I consider that fair, although I personally would have not incorporated it.

 

But it's fair, that's the point I'm trying to make. Everyone can use it, but it's your choice whether you want it to be used against you or not.

I understand that, but the game has already gone gold, do you know how much work would have to be done to achieve what you want?

The first point I said may take a little work, but since the game can already tell when a sound is made (because it has to output it to speakers as well), then they can use that as the condition for something appearing on listen mode.

 

Point 2 would be replacing the body outlines with a blurry blob that linearly decreases in size with distance from the player.

 

Point 3 is more work and can be ignored.

 

 

 

I'd say they could do that in less than two weeks.

Again, still alot of work. They would have to re-do the scaleform/framework for the listen mode HUD just to achieve that, and most likely rewrite alot of the code, possibly from scratch. How do I know this? I'm quite fluent in C, and C++ Languages.

Ginsunuva: The game HASN'T even come out yet and you're complaining and want them to change it.

 

This is Uncharted 3 nerf this and nerf that until it's broken when it wasn't before fiasco all over again.

 

It's optional to turn it on and off, so stop crying !

 

It's because of people like you who ruined Uncharted 2 and 3.
