Autosave issue - FIXED and update

Hi all,

Just starting a new thread to make sure everyone sees this update.

The autosave issue some of you have been encountering has been investigated thoroughly.  We have determined that the cause had to do with a server we were using to capture player stats, which is why playing offline may have alleviated the issue for some players. We have addressed the issue with the server.

All you need to do is quit any current playthrough of The Last of Us all the way out to the XMB, and then restart the game.

Existing save files are okay. Both single-player and multiplayer are okay to play. I.E. you play online in any mode.

Awesome. And now on to fixing the loading screen freezes, no dialogue and PS3 crashing when exiting the game? Smiley Wink

What if my game is paused right now and the autosave is frozen. The progress will be lost if I quit now right?

The Flying Grayson, Nightwing, Robin, They were about more than fight moves. They were about inspiration, comfort, trust, family. I gave that up to become a spy. a Spider man; A Tsuchigumo. I have changed.

Thanks Naughty Dog for adressing the issue so quick.

I tried to play offline for a bit and that helped, so I thought it would've something to do with servers/online.

I honestly can't believe this **bleep**. I just spent 4 hours of my precious free time and when I noticed the "autosaving please wait" and I lost ALL of my progress since the very beginning I just shut my PS3 off. I won't be touching this **bleep** in a very long time...

Yeah sure it happens, but when you work all day and pay full price (which is 90+ USD here in Sweden) stuff like this is unacceptable when you have so little free time. I literally wasted almost all of my spare time today on this.
