Blood splatter. Least that's how it was in Gears. Like blood doesn't come out when you shoot/hit enemies.
Great. Sparks fly out now lol funny chainsaws in Gears with that though.
It might be how aggresive the A.I are. Remember how light the A.I. were in Uncharted? It might lower the their difficulty, I dunno. If it's for all fights, then Im curious to see how it will work.

It probably turns off blood and gore like in black ops 2, so enemies basically just fall over and die instead of blood everywhere.
I'm guessing no blood or limb gore. In one of the videos, when he hits an infected in the shin with a pipe, the bone actually breaks and is shown. I'm guessing stuff like that will be removed.
I think it's a major part with the flying limbs & gore as well. For example, if you saw in the Eurogamer Pittsburgh demo when Joel threw that bomb thing with shrapnel in it, it caused both Hunter's limbs to blow off and there was a spray of blood.
Buuuut, in a case with the Violence being turned off, he could have thrown it, but they're bodies would have most likely just flew in one piece rather than the additional realism of having blood and limbs come off.
But what fun is that, right?
