Game runs really choppy in single player

11 replies 1223 views Edited Jun 15, 2013
Just like the header says, when playing single player the majority of the time I'm getting awful slowdown. It feels like it's dropping to about 10fps with terrible pop in. If I stop when outside you can see the areas textures building in front of me. Even after they load it is still choppy. It feels like an mmo when you first start up or go to a new location. My ps3 is a brand new slim so I know its not that. Is there an install to HD option? Anyone else have anything like this or a fix?

Are you using a downloaded version or a disc version?

Disc, the audio is also out of sync and the subtitles don't correlate with what's on screen either, if that helps.

Oh that's good. You should ask for a new one and return it.

Now you're just make **bleep** up.

Everyday now I see more and more people making things up about the game that aren't true and WE CAN ALL SEE IT by ourselves. Just stop being picky and play the game. Stop making things up.

Obviously the guy who's posted this thread is getting the issue when others aren't. I'm seeing many posts about issues but not everyones getting them. It sounds like you have a faulty disc, I'm running it from disc and it's absolutely fine, no issues whatsoever (bar the autosave yesterday)

the subtitles aren't out of sync. it's just the way they did it isn't the best.
if the loudspeakers "talk" first, and a character talks while the loudspeakers are talking, the text for the loudspeakers will show and after that what the character said will show.

Most of the cutscenes don't run smoothly for me the sound drops out at times and the graphics stutter on occasions, it's nothing game breaking but it makes me nervous that it might freeze at any point, whilst playing the game it mostly runs smoothly but the sound does cut out sporadically for short bursts, and there was one bit where I was stealth killing soldiers and they were jumping up and down like jack in the boxes during the strangle animation

The videos are fine, it's the actual gameplay where I get the drop. The subtitles get overlapped and are unreadable in busy areas. For want is worth I am not bashing the game. I have really enjoyed the 2 plus hours I'm into it. It is just running like a very poorly optimized game, which I know ND doesn't do.

Seems like the problem is your disk, my copy of the game is running beautifully.
