-You hear gun fires in the background and sounds of runners and people screams in the background, and than The Last of Us appears on the screen with a black background with fancy effects happening to the text.-

Also kudos if you get my reference.

Yup! Well time to post seriously now!

To be honest I'm expecting some random footage to show in the opening, like The Last of Us main theme playing and than it just shows random parts of the game like the trailers.

@Firezone, yea but with everyone running it sort of looked like found footage, so I just thought that it was a clip Joel and Ellie pick up along the way, but I guess we have to wait to find out.

I'd rather the game simply starts with Joel bring given his mission to escort Ellie across the U.S. I'm not interested in an intro that involve flashbacks or different character perspectives- unless it ties directly to Joel and Ellie's personal story.

I think it should either start by the user selecting it in the XMB or by autoplay upon disc insertion. Probably for the best.

@Mike The reason I say what I say is because it looks like the city doesn't have any overgrowth on it so I figured it was when things started going crazy.

I'm also interested in the tutorials. U2 and U3 had amazing 'tutorials' integrated into the story. Do you guys think it will be like this in the TLOU? Or will there actually be some training sessions? Or perhaps some abstract tutorial, with you fighting in a limbo, just to learn the controls (like in Bayonetta)? And what about the order? Will they teach melee, first, or gunplay, or stealth?

^ from what we've seen in the demo whenever a new thing happens like meeting a clicker the game just puts an info screen telling you how and when to do stuff. I'm pretty sure this is how everything will be taught. Like the first time you pick up a resource it'll say "resources are scattered throughout the world. If you find them you can combine them to make new weapons and items that help you survive" something like thqt
