Re: In-Game Journal thoughts.

Apr 13, 2013

There should be an option to hear the journals not read them. Most people (including me) hate having to pause the game and read things. Bioshock did it right with the voxophones...

In my opinion, the Voxophones were worse than the Audio logs than since they didn't give as much depth to the story unlike the Audio logs from Bioshock 1/2.

Anyways yeah Nate,I can see how the beauty of Bioshock sunk into you and you're body absorbed them (wait wha?). Anyways continue writing these and maybe ND might talk about your journals! :smileyhappy:

Maybe have Joel reading them while holding the entry in his hand? Or perhaps having Ellie read them to him?

I like the current system, where you have the option to interact with something, and the characters around you talk about it.

Yeah, Bioshock is deep in my veins. I currently re-playing it. Seeing alot more this time around.

I'll keep making them if an idea pops in my head. Maybe continuing the first journal and connecting it to TLoU. :smileywink:

I'll update the OP if I make a new one.

May 06th 2014 (Daytime)

I am deepy constipated,I can't find a restroom without finding those infected **bleep**! Worse yet,I don't have toilet paper! Please, anyone who finds my entries, bring me some toilet papers.

I've learned to get use to a nasty, stinky, and dirty buttoux. It's really discomforting but you have to do what you have to do to survive. I still appreciate some toilet paper if you find some. God it stinks.

If I found that journal in-game. I'd burn it with a molotov to spare any other survivor. Well worth the supplies.

Thanks Mike. Yeah, it had a treasure system also. Or artifacts. It was fleshed out in comparison to UC. I like any journal system in a game as long as it's interesting. Adds depth and clarity to the story.
