American Boxarts are generally more "pew pew explosions action death'" than EU's.

Yeah i've noticed that but I don't understand why...

Good example:

THIS and THIS

because we americans (the majority anyway) love action orentied box art. Japan like more artsy box art. It's a cultural thing.

This is the back of the UC3 UK box

Ok, it's pretty different. You got me there. But I still can't understand the 1080p/720p differences is the boxarts.

The 1080p is BS, since most PS3 exclusives use regular 720p.

Well, the fact that it DOES NOT support 3D is a god send!

3D would only make the game have to render itself twice, which means less detail ...Which would make sense for only a 720 output.

On the other hand, the US box does look like something I'd make for a class project...

hmmmm

..so the UK one is fake, and this one is real? The tables have turned.

I think I've figured out why this boxart looks off: Games never have their titles on the back. Seriously, what's one game that has the game title on the front and back? Given that the words "The Last of Us" written in massive font on the front, you'd think they would have gotton the message across.

I know I'm just nitpicking, but it looks like the title was just thrown in there to fill up some space. Not very professional.

EDIT: Moreover, and I can't believe I didn't pick on this before the stupid title thing: "Joel and Ellie, brought together by harsh circumstance, must survive a brutal journey across the US in a dangerous post-pandemic world."

I don't think much else needs to be said about that synopsis.

Thats photoshopped. I know it is. Boxart normally has waay more screenshot/art on the back of the case. Besides, that little summary also bleeds fake.

Both of them look legit to me. The PAL cover was probably made long time ago and that's why it doesn't list the player count for MP games.

Also, I have plenty of games that claim to support 1080p and I only see 720p, even though my monitor supports up to 1080p. It's just a misprint. Very few PS3 games support native 1080p (i.e. Rayman Origins).

I agree that it's possible that the PAL isn't final, but there is no way this boxart is real. Just read the synopsis.
