That's pretty lame.
It's not that I want her to die, it's just that I won't even try to worry about her at all during gameplay. It'll just be about keeping Joel safe, I guess.

Calculator, I'm not trolling...

It seems like the most likely out come. No one wants a 14 hour escort mission.

That's why Spider-Man 3 sucked. MJ had to be escorted everywhere!

You'll apoligize when you play the game, and see I was right.

Ellie being able to die would be horrible more than likely.

I've yet to come across AI that works properly as a human would.

They already tried that with Ashley in RE4. and it helped to ruin the game even further.

Well I would hope you have more faith in Ellie's AI than Ashley's. After all her AI is of prime importance in TLoU's development.

After seeing the AI in both Uncharted games I don't have a lot of faith in the AI for ND's games. I'd hope it's the same though, as in the AI is just there for the sake of it and does no damage and takes no damage. At least I've never seen the AI in Uncharted do any damage or take any. I've seen them fire bullets which apparently connect but still do no damage.

That will be fine, but the AI still doesn't really help and it's far from ideal.

Has anyone here played Bioshock Infinite?? Seriously, I had no issue with the fact that Elizebeth just goes off and hides during combat, why can't Ellie do the same? Yeah she's 14, but this isn't a modern day 14 year old girl, this is someone who's grown up in post-apocolyptic world, it's all she knows.

Why is anyone questioning the A.I in this game? Hasn't it already been proven that this game has some of the most advanced A.I in gaming? I'm sure ellie A.I will be perfect

I'm not sure about perfect. But, Ellie looks pretty capable. I have faith she'll do fine. I find it odd to compare Ashley from RE4 to Ellie though.  Haha. Generations apart, different levels of tech and all.

Comparing Ellie to Elizabeth would be a better comparison. Though, I think Ellie's AI will be more impressive thus far compared to Elizabeth. All the hype she had and she didn't do too much. (Re-used Tears, throwable items every so often, nothing contextual). Not that she was bad, just over-hyped. Those demos... Sometimes she'd stand next to enemies and Handymen as if they were best friends. :smileyvery-happy:

All aside, I think Ellie will do just fine.

Joel: That's alright. I believe him.

My original post never questioned the quality of the AI. I was asking if Ellie will be able to take damage.
