I totally agree. I hope there isn't a "kill kill kill" gamemode, I hope they lean more towards survival in large(ish) maps with clickers roaming about among other obsticles that can hurt your chances of survival. I'm also hoping for permadeath modes, and by that I mean, once you die in the session you don't get to come back to that game session (perhaps it would be cool if you could "spectate" on the game session once you died though). There could be other game modes, of course, but in the terms of survival, this is what I find most intreguing, because knowing you can't respawn means you have to be extra careful in scavenging and planning your attack. Only the fittest survive.
Something I was thinking about would be a kind of long multiplayer idea, but imagine having a cabin (or hotel room or whatever the map is) that isn't very well reinforced at all. You and your team are tasked with the objective of keeping this room reinforced by moving around the outside world barring the windows (you would actually have to find wood, strip fence posts ect and it would take time to nail them across the windows) and collecting bandages for your teammates, all the while dodging clickers and other dangerous scenarios. Perhaps the "hunters" would be another team of players who are tasked with first finding you and then raiding you, while also dodging clickers and other dangerous scenarios.
