No Sequel For The Last of Us!

96 replies 2522 views Edited Jun 22, 2013

If you're like me, Lets tell the fine folks over at ND to leave this game alone. I'm sick of seeing un-needed sequels and this game doesn't need one and I will say this until I'm blue in the face!

I plan to post this on as many forums as I can...Some one, some where will have to see it.

If the sequel will be as good as it was with Uncharted -> Uncharted 2 I definitely want it to happen. U2 is one of the best games I've ever played and Naughty Dog is yet to make a terrible sequel.

Find another place to be **bleep** about being told the truth, bet you have like 200 deaths on your survivor playthrough, your thread was ridiculous, the increase in difficulty comparing to easy/normal/hard was clear, with smart playing it wasn't impossible but it was more challenging for sure, I'm sure your bomb with a line traps would make it harder. Derp.

I feel like Joel and Ellie's story is over, so it would be weird to see them as main characters in a sequel if there was one.

So I would be OK with a TLOU sequel, but only if J&E weren't the main characters, and if it was on PS4, because I feel like they won't be able to do much more new things with the PS3 anymore.

Still, It doesn't need to happen. Leave the world and it's characters alone.

I dont think a sequel would ever be able to touch the places TLOU did, so I'd prefer there not to be one.

Just another new game which is equally as awesome, but totally different :smileyhappy:

Why are you so worried? Did you not enjoy TLoU? What makes you think that a sequel won't live up to the standard ND has set for themselves?

I do agree, Joel and Ellie's story shouldn't be progressed further than where the game ended, but that's hardly a reason to not make a sequel.
