Re: *Join The Cause!* The Last of Us Censorship Compared! [NSFW]

The reason is SCEE. They are just cheap. Don't want to do multiple copies, so everyone has to get the same. One region needs it censored, then all need it censored. They are cheap, that's why UK gets it own copy now with just English. Games are generally cheaper here than the rest of EU, so they dropped multi-language from UK copies to stop EU people buying them.

Why we don't get a patch to uncensor and either don't put it on German store or paid on German store (age verification) is probably just them being incompetent or just brushing it off as silly Europeans.

They also just straight up lie as well. Beyond two souls, they said minor camera adjustment, when it's actually a magical disappearing stick & looks rediculous. For this game, they gave misleading PR. SCEE really are turning into a horrible publisher, keep going and they will end up with a horrible rep like Capcom.

Still doesn't excuse ND's behaviour over this though

Sarcastic thanks for the support when someone said they have to buy another copy to get the full experiance

Coming in this topic earlier and making out they done they right thing and commented on it.

Using NA trailers with uncensored footage to advertise DLC for EU.

Claiming they have no contact with SCEE, but when there are DLC issues, suddenly they do.

Oh well, sooner or later BS like this will come back on them. Just like it did to Capcom, you can only **bleep** on fans so much before they have enough.

Simple answer is that Naughty Dog COULD include the option to turn gore on/off as amny games have done over the decades of computer and console gaming. What makes me laugh is that Germany finds nudity and pornography acceptable yet won't allow blood in games. This world is crazy with political correctness in varying degrees. The UK would allow the content that Germany won't yet on television news Germany will happily show shocking scenes that the UK won't..... I personally was annoyed that I had to buy Batman Arkham City from the USA to play the joker content in the UK and had to trick my ps3 into downloading it from the US playstation store as it wasn't on the EU store. (yes it is possible, create a profile as US region and download it that way).

The game isn't affected by the lack of gore as most matches I play is against people from many countries and still very enjoyable without the extreme scenes. although I disagree strongly with the cencorship I can understand it.

To be honest with you I think nudity is way more acceptable than violence and gore. Seriously, what's worse a guy blowing someone's head off or a woman showing off her chest?

These politics are all messed up. I'm quite happy nothing is censored where I come from. Well, until they've decided to consider Germany as the pinnacle of Europe...

With every mistake ND make, they lose respect and sales. This is one of those mistakes.

After the U3 DLC nonsense, I refused to buy TLOU DLC. And now after this censorship nonsense, I wont even buy U4 new - it'll be bought pre owned. Just how it goes.

Respect works both ways, ND.

Please explain the underlined bit, as I'm oblivious about the subject.

I think Ive just experienced a bug/glitch but Im from England and I went to execute a guy with my shorty and blood came out of him. It was awesome. Its much more fun with blood and gore and ND took that extra fun away from us. ND I refuse to buy any of your games new from now on until you give us the respect we deserve as loyal customers. Furthermore I refuse to buy any future dlc too until we get games that the Americans get.

Uncharted has always been rated T, IIRC. Pretty sure it won't be a problem.
