TLOU and Metacritic

[ Edited ]

Given the lack of information we've got I thought it might be a good idea to talk about TLOU's hypothetical review scores, so... what do you think TLOU will score on IGN, Gameinformer, or Metacritic?

Check it out on June 14th here:

I can't give an exact score, but the number 1 negative I would say is the difficulty.

I think a high difficulty is a positive thing, or I am wrong?

I'm hoping the game will have at least four difficulty levels. I'd like to have a first playthrough on hard and with Listen Mode... and a second playthrough on an even harder difficulty, without Listen Mode.

If they do have a good set of difficulty levels, I don't think reviewers would bash the difficulty.

And my guess is that Yem didn't mentioned that as he thinking high difficulty was bad, but that he thinks reviews might see it as a bad thing, since some reviews do have a casual bias.

Usually, I can try guessing what problems a game might have simply with a demo. But for this, I really can't see anything. Anyway, the one critique I can think of is incredibly far-fetched, but maybe the MP will tend too much towards copying other widely-used concepts without using whatever mkes the SP unique. Average score would be about 9.0-9.5

I would say IGN will give it a 10/10, Gameinformer a 9.50-10, Gametrailers a 9 or higher (they tend to prefer Xbox games), etc.

Depending on how it's receieved. People have already been complaining about the gore and violence. Along with the fact that game will most likely not hold your hand.

Regardless, I don't really listen to review scores anymore, most tend not to be reliable, IMO. I'll be picking the game up regardless of the score.

Could range from and 8.5 to a 9.5.

Except for IGN, it'll be a 10, cause it's IGN.

I will buy TLOU, regardless of the review scores it gets but for some games I check their score on Metacritic. Last Saturday I checked Red Dead Redemption's score and I bought it, and I do not regret it.

The ONLY review I'll trust is Adam Sessler's Rev Games review! That man is really passionate about games! X-Play (and Attack of the Show, when Kevin and Olivia was still hosting) were the only reasons why I watch G4TV.
