TLOU sequel doesn't need Joel and ellie

I loved the original game, and that was mainly because of the 2 characters, but ND put an ending that can go both ways, leave them or continue. As much as I would love to see them, or even just ellie in a sequel, the game isn't gonna rely on it, if ND can create a new story with new characters, I don't see any problem with them

I still think we should have at least 1 animal sidekick. But nobody ever listens to me.

Whatever.

Joel, and Ellie are the driving force of the game. There's only four possible outcomes for new protagonists. They died, became hunters, got to a QZ, or wander the wild. Joel, and Ellie, or nothing at all.

Then I pick nothing at all.

New Charectars can be made and can be just as interesting as Joel and Ellie. I hope Joel and Ellie are gone from the next installment. Maybe a small easter egg here or there. I understand some of you guys' love Joel and Ellie as charectars, but you have to understand its better to have a simple story (TLoU) than an overcomplicated plot and too much of a charectar.

Indeed it is better to have a simple story. Why try to top Joel, and Ellie's story, then? The sequel will have something to live up to. Clearly the obvious objective would be to steamroll it's predecessor. As I've previously stated; Joel, and Ellie, or nothing.
