Re: The Last of Us - Control Scheme

May 20, 2013

Yeesh, it's a pretty awkward control scheme. Then again I thought that about Uncharted's R2 for reload, now I'm snagging the manual reload trophies like they're nothin'. I dunno, seems a bit too abstract but like any other game you'd get a feel for it, right up until you try to play something like GTAIV and you're looking at your map accidentally trying to toss a nade or something

No. My opinion is fact. Uncharted 3 is the best. Now go.

Did I take over this guys mind?

Only difference is I wouldn't have ever said Uncharted 3 and best in a sentence ever.

@sackboy - Quickturn is sprint and down. There are some things the control scheme can't tell you. There are separate tutorials when you play through the game.

Re: The Last of Us - Control Scheme

you know, I start thinking the melee is not so deep as I expected it to be from the e3 demo, first of all that is because I only see Joel attack peole in the recent demo's and just hit, hit, hit, takedown, but in the e3 demo I saw for instance a guy waiting for Joel around the corner to then attack him with a pipe, Joel avoids the pipe and then hits him, but there is only the square button for melee attacks, I would have figured an triangle button for counter or avoiding attacks, but I don't see that, dissapointing :smileysad:

Do you really think there's no counter button? Really?

well, I look at this control scheme and I don't see any, if there was one, why is it not on the control scheme?
