The Last of Us PC port?

16 replies 23384 views Edited May 24, 2014

I know that The Last of Us is a playstation exclusive game and thats great and all but.... If it was available for PC wouldnt it be far more profitable?, (More PC out there than Playstation 3 and 4 combined),or is this about selling more systems? because if that were to be the case i would be extremely disappointed.

The Last of US should be ported to PC!

Here is a few examples why it should be ported to pc:

- MODS

- Better Graphics

Mods make games 100% better!! Without mods most games would be boring. Mods add life into games and keep games alive for a long time.

I do hope The Last of US is ported to PC!

The Last of Us needs to somehow be ported over to the Vita as well. This is so we can play this masterpiece when not at home.

One word: piracy.

It would sell more, but there's also a greater risk of people pirating it. That's the main reason a lot of PC games out there don't rake in as much cash as you might think, and its also the reason a lot of Nintendo DS games failed to make a profit. Heck the developers behind Rune Factory had to close because of this (with RF being one of the top pirated games for the DS). So yeah, it would make more, but there's still a risk.

Why would they do this when their intent is to sell more PlayStation systems? This question has been asked many times already. And no, mods aren't the only things that make a game better.....

The Last of Us will be ported to the PC when pigs fly and the sun blows up.

The only way I see this happening is throught some kind of streaming service, like Playstation Now. That's it. Porting the game to the PS4 seems hard enough. Even if the PS4 is more similar to a PC than the PS3 was, I don't think porting the game to PC would be effortless. Also, SONY propably invested a ton of money on/with Naughty Dogs and its project, so I wouldn't hope too much. Buying a PS3 is the cheapest way to play TLOU for now.
