Ok so the last of us is suppose to be the story of Joel and ellie traveling across the U.S from the east to West. That sounds like a great set up but I have one concern. The game is said to be from 12 to 16 hours long so does that mean the game is going to skip time throughout? I noticed in one of the trailers it showed ellie in a snowy place, maybe a mountain. I hope the game actually shows them go to the mountain, I hope it doesn't do a "blank weeks later" or even worse a "black months later" I want to see everything and I want it to feel like a big journey. I want to see their relationship grow throughout the whole game. I don't want any time skips. One thing I like about the dead space series is that the whole game plays without any time skips. From the second you start, the game never loads or skips time or takes you away from issac. And I love that because by the end of the game It felt like I was on a big adventure. I look back at the whole game and I think "wow look at all I went through" this is 5he most apparent with dead space 3 because of all the varied locations you go through. I want to feel like that with the last of us. Anyone else think that time skipping is a problem?
It's not really an issue, provided that the game has a sense of momentum and good pacing. In fact Uncharted 2 had a time gap- I believe Drake was imprisoned in that Turkish prison for 3 months before being released by Sully.
