I don't want to watch it, trying to avoid any new gameplay till release. But did they show new unseen stuff or was it just Lincoln/Pittsburgh gameplay?
If new, can anyone describe it in a non-spoilery way? Like if it was a new environment, human or infected, how the AI was, etc.?
So it was just the Pittsburgh demo.
With the game director playing, did it look as smooth and "scripted" as the E3 demo? Compared to the recent unexperienced playthroughs
When I saw scripted, I just mean like...well, the E3 demo was just so perfectly intense, it felt like watching a movie scene. Compared to how the journalists have been playing, missing swings, rushing through, etc. I know the actual gameplay isnt scripted
So this livestream playthrough is on par with the E3 demo? Watching now
From the new gameplay, any wound that Joel has stays on him (blood on face, bullet wounds) until you die or are soaked in water.
The blood also seeps through his clothing over time.
I wouldn't say as good or as intense. Because Neil Drukmann was being interviewed, which made it hard to hear what was happening in the demo, and also Bruce Straley just kicked a hunter's butt, like latterly. But the AI was excellent, the enemy AI flanked Bruce a lot, and sometimes they surprised him, but Ellie pointed out where the hunters were. And Ellie didn't just follow him around, she moved at the right time. And on the second playthrough Bruce tried to be stealthy, but the hunters spotted him. Animations were great, very fluid in my opinion.
And Bruce died once when they surrounded him. I think the humans are going to be harder than the infected.
