I just bought the PS3 pulse headset, and while playing around in the pulse elite manager app, I noticed that bioshock infinte has a unique audio profile.
Here the PSblog talks about it: Exclusive Bioshock Infinite Audio Mode for Pulse
I know Naughty dog put a lot of effort into the audio design for TLOU, and the pulse being an official sony ps3 product do you guys think we will se a unique audio profile for TLOU?
Man my hype level is through the roof for the game, gonna play on hard with "listen mode" turned off
I'm also hoping they add this. The BioShock sound profile was fantastic. I wouldn't be suprised if there is one released, but don't expect any news until very close to launch.
I'll keep my fingers crossed, but hopefully the 7.1 virtual surround sound will be good enough to locate those clickers and i can play with out the "listen mode" for better immersion
The thing that points to it not getting a profile, is that God war was released only two weeks earlier than Bioshock infinite and did not get its own sound profile.
I would be really cool if Sony at least supported sound profiles for the system exclusives.
But don't get me wrong, the pulse headset is really great on its own
Although I absolutely adore my Pulse Headset, I am not holding my beath for a Last of Us mode. Ill set my mode to "game," Bass Impact to about half way, and that should be just fine.
Cant wait to take in the sounds and sights.
Say NO to paid DLC maps
Uncharted games did, so I'm guessing this game will too. (Surround Sound/Stereo headphones profiles, depending on whether or not you have VSS turned on.)
Does that count? In Infinite's case, it was a preset mode on the headset that was "tailored" for the game. It made sure little details came through the headphones clearly, like the crackling during the black and white video things.
I'll take the Suround sound headphones option, but a preset mode for the Pulse would be pretty nice.
