Are there any techniques as to keeping a high population?

8 replies 1199 views Edited Jun 28, 2013

I've been playing witha  100+ population and it seems nearly impossible to be able to keep consistently having perfect games just to have enough supplies to feed my clan.  I already play the role of a support with the first aid booster and healing, which does supply part, but I'm not sure what else I can do as I on average gain 8-12 downs per game. I also, if I can use the extra parts one-time booster, but I only have so many of those, so if anyone would be willing to provide strategies, it'd be most appreciated. I just want my berret ;_;

The higher ups boost. Don't sink to their level.

I can't keep more than 120.

I can play PERFECT rounds and have 5000+ supplies by the end of the game, which nets around 75~  for the clan. Picking up from dead enemies gives like +15-20. The minimum I need is like 83 every day. So in the end, I only get like +2 survivors.

Then the fireflies attack and take about 20~ people.

If I connect to a game thats ongoing and losing like 10-20 beyond my help, then I lose about 15~ people to sickness. I can go that perfect round and still not recupperate.

So it like averages out for me at least at 100 people and I play consistently well.

Honestly the firefly attacks are pretty ridiculous if you fully complete it you shouldn't lose any survivors. Right now what I do to get the supplies I need is playing the healer role with collector 2 for 20% part earnings increase.

I disagree. Granted, I think if you completely blow you rmission out of the water you should loss a very small amount, but its an all out "battle" between fireflies and hunters, it would be ridiculous if you didnt lose anybody, not realistic at all.

Well what I've noticed it varies by each o e usaully when I do downs or basic executions and don't lose anyone and might gain a few people. Honestly I wouldn't care if its unrealistic personally espicially with the effort you have to put in week after week.

32/6 crafting gifts given

you lose 27 people

ok... :smileysad:

True Balance:
We felt that the Hunting Rifle wasn’t effective enough at mid-range due to its very slow fire rate. While every weapon doesn’t have to be as effective at every range, so much combat occurs at short to mid ranges in The Last of Us that we felt the Hunting Rifle felt was not effective in enough situations. By increasing its damage the Hunting Rifle user is now more likely to get a down on a wounded player, or can combo a Hunting Rifle with a pistol to try and fight effectively at mid-range.
