Re: Balancing the modded 2x4

INCANGENERAL you know what your absolutely right. I completely suck at this game and should never point out the obvious problems with a one hit downer that never loses its durability.

Obviously it takes way more skill then i have to operate the modded 2x4. Yeah know cause hitting and lunging at an unexpecting victim requires so much timing and hand eye coordination.

God i hope they nerf it just so mr ALL CAPS INCANGENERAL doesnt get to use his modded 2x4 which requires soooo much talent to maintain

I've downed many people who use the modded 2x4 with a revolver, SAR, BR, flamethrower, molotovs etc and the same done to me. I enjoy using it and am annoyed as many other ppl are that ND is catering to Whiners.

The fact that your saying you have to be really good to beat someone using a 1 hit melee sounds stupid to me...

Re: Balancing the modded 2x4

I think the best way to go about balancing the Melee Weapon is to do this (keep in mind it is just my idea/ opinion):

Step 1. Reduce the cost of both the Machete's Loadout Points and Parts by 25% (3 Loadout Points, 300 Parts).

Step 2. Increase the Machete's durability by 1 (3 durability in total)

Step 3. Once a player successfully crafts a Modded Machete, the Modded Machete gains one Special Durability point. The Special Durability point lets the player preform a One-Hit Down just like the Modded 2x4, but much faster or at the same speed but instead it kills... I'm not sure? Feedback?

Re: Balancing the modded 2x4

The only problem I've really had with the modded 2x4 is when people get the mondo lunge with it.  I saw a new record today, got lunged at almost the complete width of the street on Lakeside.  Other than that it's not TOO difficult to avoid, seeing as how getting hit will often force them to check their swing, and bullets will slow down their sprint.  That, and it makes a nice armor buster, meaning when the Semi Armortov kids rush you you have a chance to fight back.
