If you could redesign the look of Maps...

7 replies 208 views Edited May 23, 2014

If you could redesign the atmosphere on some maps, which kind of change would you add to it?

Personally I would do...

A thunderstorm on Bill's Town (think Uncharted 3 fort with crackling thunder)

Lakeside in the spring (picture when you're riding on the horse near Tommy's)

Downtown in the rain ( just like in the story)

High School (takes place at twighlight, eventually ends with a sunrise if the match lasts long enough)

What changes would you guys make?

Rain on Downtown would be awesome. But then again, we wouldn't get to play it. The scaredy cats don't like the dark and are really afraid of getting wet.

Infected to walk to be a part of the map.

Oh wait.

I always thought a nice 4th map pack would be just 4 maps, 2 vanilla, 1 DLC 1, and 1 DLC 2, and just change the atmosphere of it.
Example, maybe lakeside in the dark, without the snow if possible. Downtown in the day but with the gust from the DLC 1 map. Bus Depot in the snow, Water Tower in the dark.
Maybe take the big maps and make them smaller, like how in Lakeside almost no one ever goes to the houses in the back unless last man standing. Maybe move a spawn point and supply box there and cut off access to the cabin area, somehow. It's still lakeside, different atmosphere, and play style.
For smaller maps, like checkpoint maybe add things to be more cimb-able. Like how you can climb on top of the theatre or the balcony. Making the map more vertical.

Add Bill to Bill's Town and Bill hunts down the teams while they are hunting each other

Bill is invincible cuz his fat bounces bullets back, he can blast through walls like Kool-Aid Man, he can set up traps and steal your supplies from you when you die, etc

and what he does to downed Firefly/Hunter guys... we can't say but you know guys like Bill...

^ Pure genius. If they're not adding in infected, then adding Bill is the absolutely, most positively logical thing to do.
