Just had my first 1v1, and it was intense.

After a VERY strange battle on checkpoint, where both teams CONSTANTLY rushed each other, and spawning never took more than 2 seconds, we brought each other down as evenly as possible. We were 2v3 for the end, me and one of my friends, and after a good minute in a half of skulking around each other not shooting after such an emmense battle, someone made the mistake of triggering one of my bombs and downing themself. Two team mates rushed over to help, one sprinting and the other not so we only thought one.

My friend takes down the sprinter but gets shot down in the back, and as he gets shot to execution I lay the smack down of revenge. Wasting almost half a clip just to make sure they were executed before the third caught up to me.

And then it hit. I had no idea it was even possible, but then the guitar plucks a deep dark string. And it's a sheer standoff. He as crouching behind cover opposite of me. Realizing I had nothing but a few shots from a revovler, I turned and booked it through as many doors as possible.

To my surprise, he hadn't even chased after me like any other dog in this game would.

After scraping supplies from the nearest box, which gave me nothing but a rag and alcohol and another bomb, I placed it where I was hiding and started to back away hoping I might be lucky enough to not have to confront him.

And with 6 minutes still left on the clock, there was honestly nothing I could do,exchanged shots but we only scraped each other. I was constantly backing up in case he would charge me with a spiked bat..

But then it hit me, I remember at the very start at the match, I told my friend, "I'm just gonna craft a shiv in case the need arises."

A few minutes later he had given me a smoke bomb, and we'd thought nothing of it.

So out of desperation, I chucked where I'd last saw him without even aiming. As soon as I heard that hit marker noise go off, It hit me that I finally had my chance. I rushed towards him as fast as I could, and just before the animation ended I was able to shove a knife in his throat, letting out the loudest most genuine battle cry I never thought possible.

You know when you have a very acidic puke and your throat burns to oblivion? That's exactly how mine feels right now.

Smiley Very Happy  JFWY.

There's nothing more frustrating than LOSING a 1v1 to win, and nothing more satisfying than to win it.

Congrats.

1v1 is okay. 4v1 win is good. 5+ v1 is beast mode
