Multiplayer Customization

8 replies 261 views Edited Jun 26, 2013

So, coming from Uncharted 3s perspective and how ND likes to have fun with customizations. I was curious to know why TLoU has only a little customization. Sure U3 required quite a bit of money on most of the skins and taunts but there was still a ton of stuff. Even the default ones were plenty, or am wrong?

I'm guessing it's because there is factions. It's Yellow vs Blue. They don't want you choosing different color clothing that don't match the faction. I'm guessing that's the reason why.

What game out there is color coded? I mean i know TF2 is but thats a different story. What would factions have to do with me wearing a different shirt or pants like in U3?

I'm hoping ND makes it so I can choose to be a specific sex and race all the time. Aside from my hat, it's disconcerting not knowing who I am right off the bat until actual gameplay begins. Then when gameplay does begin, I have no ties to that character as I don't recognize them as being me lowering the care on if my online character dies.

'Factions' is a moot reasoning regarding one choosing their sex and race. And just let the game handle the team coloring but let the player actually choose their look (for how FF and Hunters see their character so you'd have 2 looks, 1 for each faction despite having chose one at the start). Shirt, jacket/coat/vest, pants, accessories (ammo belt, extra holster, etc.) shouldn't be really be impacting a fuller customization system =\

I wish there was more customization. Wish we could create our own character. I guess we'll have to wait for "The Division" for that. I wish they'd cater more to RPG fans more than CoD fans.
