The problem isn't how hard it is to complete them, but that no matter how well you do, you will still lose 20% of your clan.
Even that in itself isn't the major problem, it's how many you can get. I had a run of endless repeated 20% loss missions, no missions that boosted size, just one after the other of 'sod you mate, we're having your clan'. I completed every oneof the eight mission objectives, but in no way could I gain enough supplies to replace what the game was forcing me to lose.
It makes the meta-game simply not fun for me, as I'm sure it does for others.
Honestly I don't think you should have to put in all the work you do just to be as punished as severely as you are in some cases. I thought about the ones that gain you people as well, I think they could just make those ones a bit more difficult to the lose ones (I know that sounds crazy). I think that would work though because if you wanted that increase in survivors you would really have to work for it.
That is the whole point though. You need to remember that is part of the story line. You are place in a very dark grim setting. The world has gone to **bleep**. And the fact that no matter HOW hard you try those efforts are just sometimes not enough. Just like the real world.
I think ND want to keep it a scrabble for supplies, to make it hard work so that you fight hard for the supplies, so that not everyone is running around “maxed out” in skull masks. This way it keeps you playing, Keeps the feeling of the single player game and makes its so that their appears to be a true element of risk.
