Using a DualShock 4 on The Last of US MP

I've readed a lot of articles explaining that the ps4 controller is compatible with the ps3 on some games via usb cable... And in fact, the TLOU is playable with that... (start, select and ps button doesn't)

Anyone has tried to play with the DS4? You gain more accuracy with the new controller? Or it sucks? If really works fine... I'm thinking in buying one DS4 for play this Smiley Happy

You can still enter the crafting menu by using the d-pad and X as a shortcut. But thats only applicable if you have something available to craft. Otherwise you can't upgrade your weapon unless you have something to craft. So, I'd stick with DS3 for TLOU for now.

My cousin also said his character seemed to randomly slow down sometimes when playing with DS4.

Oh sh*** I forgot about that "little" detail xD

It's a shame... Because I have big hands (long thumbs) and the DS3 it's a little uncomfortable for me... I'm using a XBox like controller (Black fire hardcore) I wish I can play with a xbox controller...

You can play with an xbox controller, start button included.

Just go get yourself one of these:

This post relieved a bit of stress for me, I thought my controller was defective! I started playing TLoU with a DS4 controller and I have noticed that occasionally my character would slow down whenever I pressed up on the left stick. I'm glad that it's not the controller, it's just a compatability issue (one that would hopefully be fixed in a future patch). I confirmed this again using my friend's DS4, except this time it was when pressing on the back left on the left stick.

Also the share button on the DS4 is effectively the select button for this game, so you can definitely go into crafting mode. I hope that helps some people.

Yea the share button acts as the select button. I tried the DS4 when I first got my PS4 at launch just to try it out on TLOU and I just didn't like it. Yes it works but the biggest problem I had with it is that it didn't seem to have the same rumble or hit indicator that I get when I play with the DS3. Maybe it was just me but I just did not have the same accuracy or feeling when I shot weapons when playing with the DS4.
