i think it will be the best video game to date. I'll even say it will be a better game than TLUO & Uncharted Thief's End. It looks like a freaking movie. The character punches and shoots like a Sherlock Holmes movie. The animation is not too fast or stop-n-go but perfect.
The graphics are amazing and the attention to detail is absolutely stunning. But the lack of multiplayer decreases the value for me. Unless it has a lengthy and amazing single player like The Last of Us, I don't see this setting the charts on fire. I believe that The Witcher 3 and Batman: Arkham Knight will take sales away from this game. Unfortunately, I don't think it will reach 1 million sales in its first week. I want it to do well so we can get more games in the series.
After playing this at PAX, I'm really looking forward to this game! There seems to be a good mix of weapons, the gameplay is fun and it seems much attention was paid to telling the story.
Granted the demo provided was short, but for me I can tell a lot in those few minutes. Some games just don't stand up in those few minutes, but The Order: 1886 kept me engaged. As others have stated, the game is beautiful. They've done a fantastic job of rendering and making the characters and scenes look realistic.
I for one am glad there is no multiplayer. Many of these games that attempt to include multiplayer do it at the expense of the story.
Will it be a "Big Hit" for the PS4? I guess that depends on the gamers and if they feel the game is something they want to play. Some of that will depend on reviews of the game and part will be word of mouth. Ready At Dawn seems to have done their part and we'll find out how well they did on telling the story when the game releases.
