I got Twisted Metal last week just to play online ! i got a new one when i start the game it says there is an update 1.05 & its 4 files . when its done downloading the first file it crashed with the "error 8002AE22 " ! . Now I cant play online. so please fix it . i turned everything off & again tried + its been a week & still the same .
I recieved a message & i done everything and still nothing then there was a link to this site so am hoping to solve this problem its ben 3 weeks now

There are folks who have major  issues with the game working on  Fat 60 GB PS3's  - is that what you have?

Either way, hold on, there's supposed to be a patch coming August 3rd, although we have been waiting for it the last 3 months .

Don't mark my words as patch release dates tend to be fluff, but it seems it is coming to a head.

Hmm... I haven't heard anyone complain about the same issue you have with that model, but that doesn't mean the problem doesn't exist with that model, specifically.

I'm hoping for your sake as well as others that these problems go away with the upcoming patch. Just the thought of a person spending their hard-earned money on a highly aniticipated game into their console that is broken and unplayable ticks me off, This patch is the pivotal point of the game's pontential further success.

We need growth in this game badly. Yeah, I see new players, but it's not enough,  I want to see 100+ games going with people having little-to-no connection errors across the globe. I want to see more than 8 clans playing against each other.

To the people who couldn't experience the game, or dropped it within the month of playing because of the freezing and constant network errors: If they fix the game to where it runs 100% better, you definitely need to pick this game back up, whether you sold it or not, because you will have a blast, I guarantee it.

I have a PS3 Fat 160 and bought Twisted Metal tonight and am having the same dreaded error every time I try to install.

Yup, buy a slim.

Phat are all ticking time bombs anyways.  Their poor heat cooling systems mean they'll all fail eventually (YLOD).

Better to get trade value now, than have it be a paperwieght in a year tor two.

No, I have no intention of buying another.  I LIKE my fat.  Think it looks a lot better and made a heck of a lot better than the slim.  It looks cheap.

Besides I shouldn't have to buy another.  They need to fix this problem.

I have to revive this topic because I just bought Twisted Metal 2 days ago and since then, I haven't been able to play it online because of this error. It tries to download updates but just when the first of it tries to install, this error appears and I can't play it online. Some forums blame the ISPs but I have a 4MB connection and yesterday I bought Okami HD which is a 6.2GB download, also my PSPlus autoupdate feature downloaded patches for other games I have without any problem, so, the real problem is with this specific game. I'm very frustrated because I spent my money in this game because the main reason to buy it was to play with my friends. I don't know if it's true that it only happens with Fat Ps3 models because it's my case but what I know is that I just want to play the game online and I want it to be fixed quickly.
