Re: Possible Final Tweaking Session (thoughts for David Jaffe)

[ Edited ]

I play everyday, dm usually, and you only take a 1/3 the damage when you manually pilot the gurney like vermin, still dangerous  to use and is a free kill almost to a good player I've gotten killed plenty of times by people that snuck up on me while I used it. Checked out the video, I've heard of x-ployt and in the video he didn't spam the gurney  one time he played well and used his absorption shield to gain specials back like a smart player, all you did was give an example of a great player that knows what he's doing. I fire it from a distance all the time on stages like metro or sunsprings. I just make sure its in a wide enough area to hit someone. I don't see how people think it's a problem when I play against them all the time and I never even think about gurneys from other meatwagon users, small cars have to watch out for everybody not just MW they need to use their speed to put and obstacle in between them and a gurney or shield it.

Re: Possible Final Tweaking Session (thoughts for David Jaffe)

DM is the biggest spammy area. Just full of spam. 1/3 the damage with extended shields is plenty. It was designed for you to use at a distance and not as a instant 90 damage shotgun with little penalty.

X-Ployt is an excellent player, on of the best, and HE agreed on a nerf because the weapons are just too spammy.

You don't need to fire it at a distance, you only need to stack it and get at mid range and use a few homings to get past their shields, then you use 1 and nail them.

Your vehicle has over 200 health. When you have 90-110 health or so and somebody has undodgeable weapons with massive damage and stun you can't really compete fairly. How often do Crimson Fury's win matches against good players? Pretty much never, and that's why.

Re: Possible Final Tweaking Session (thoughts for David Jaffe)

The biggest problem with your argument is precisely that, eastcoast. A smaller vehicle like CF shouldn't be using obstacles to evade a weapon; That's basically shielding without using AA. The scenario you brought up poses another problem. A CF that wants to win under such circumstances has to rely on cheap methods to win. Picking up long distance weapons, running away while spamming those weapons and using every obstacle on the map in order to win. That's not the way such vehicle should be played, he should use his SPEED in order to dodge. With weapons like the one you're defending it's impossible to accomplish this feat.

Death match is what TM is all about that's what the series is based on; ever since i played it in 95, funny though checked out gamefaqs forum and Averyangrykitten has the same fellings I do on MW and I see you there  as well were just going to have to agree to disagree on this one.  http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/997850-twisted-metal/64472868

Yep, it's unwinnable by smaller vehicles. You have no chance.

Also most skilled players agree with what I said. Also TM never had undodgeables back in the day so it was different and much better. Back then in TMB for instance it was much more skill based with aiming and not just spamming. Too many situations are unwinnable.

This game also has a stronger team element than previous games.

Re: Possible Final Tweaking Session (thoughts for David Jaffe)

I agree with the guy who mentioned the laughing ghost and I don't want to hear no noob comments. Just hear me out. First this is a fairly newer issue that happened after the Shadow nerf. Like I mentioned cheap players don't stop being cheap. They just find new ways. Here's what they do. Either hide with snipers or remotes while specials build. Then fire all three at once at the same person. If your lucky enough to be alone its no problem as others pointed out. The problem is if your in battle even if you know its coming there's not much you can do. When they come like that they get way more difficult to dodge. You get a ST on a kill streak and he can really rack up some kills quick if he manages inventory. Its more annoying than you'd think.

BTW if I remember the guy who said this first is a pretty decent RK. Certainly no noob.

Re: Possible Final Tweaking Session (thoughts for David Jaffe)

Yea the only time a laughing ghost has been annoying is if they fire 3 at someone with no health left, forcing them to shield or making them run into danger, but that's no worse than spamming gurneys or homing missiles and is a major problem with the game. Too many unwinnables, too many situations where you have no choice but to get hit.

The most annoying laughing ghosts are in an unlimited room. But 3 specials at once are usually going to rack up some damage. The move overall isn't that bad, the worst thing about it is that it forces you to move even when hiding. Making it a good anti-camp tool, but also making it a noob tool for those who want to just target one person they're mad at. I've had players constantly use it to get out of first.

i find it annoying i do 150 - 100 damage to an opponent with roadboat then if someone else hits them then gets to kill them i get 25 points, if i kill them after they hit them i get 50 points.

i have noticed this with other cars aswell. it sucks to see your magnets track around a bend do 150 then end up with barely anything i hit 8 people in the killing field this way today and i came in at like 4th because of this. it never used to do this before when i dealt alot of damage to an opponent. or is this some kind of change.  also roadboats wall bounce doesnt register alot or does just 11 damage when it clearly bounced once of a wall into someone.

i think it was fine the way it was. the game now sucks for people who like to use every car because people use the same ones over and over again that are conciderd overpowerfull who probaly still kick your **bleep** still anyway leaving you crying and winging about what a crap game you had becouse your still a wingy noob who has to winge about nerfing cars to get some sort of advantage.

mw gurney does 30, alt blast does 40 to 60 patients rights is still 90 or increase the crap blast radius for the 20 blast

vermins alt blast does 30 to 60 or change its blast radius

return shadow to the way it was

put brothers grim monster trucks in like juggernaut for team death match want see them go at it

Re: Possible Final Tweaking Session (thoughts for David Jaffe)

Shadow is one of my 2 main cars and im incredibly happy with the changes. It was hard to agree with in principal but they did a fantastic job with it. Its hard to watch one of your favorites get nerfed but you gotta do what's best for the game. It was worth it simply because I no longer see cheap people giving my ride a bad name. I love the car. Its the most unique in the game but idiots were abusing it. If your having trouble its on you to get better. Its fair and that's what its supposed to be. What they did with the long range primary is perfect. I used to feel bad if I missed a shot and a minute later got 150 damage now its 35. Maybe a little more if hit a pack. They did this while still allowing massive damage when deserved. You hit a long range shot at a pack that you really line up its the same. If you use the map to cheat and bounce it around waiting for someone to drive by you get 35. Its a real skill shot now if you get massive damage.
