This and the MGS collection controler came out just shortly after I busted my blue one out of pure blind rage. Would have bought it, but as you already know they aren't on sale in the US.
EDIT: I could have pulled a witty remark and said "not many americans play this game" But I don't think it's that necessary. Pretty good though.

That's a custom painted controller. You just need to pay them about $70 Canadain dollars (Not sure about how much it is in Aus) and they'll paint and ship it to you with a custom design on it of your choice.

Looks nice, can you tell them where to add the lights exactly and what colour the lights are? (For example, if I didn't want my left analog stick to glow, but I wanted my right one to glow green.) Just curious.
I just looked at that site and those controllers are awesome! If I could get PS3 controllers like that I'd definately consider getting one.
