The answer to the OP is... MONEY!!!
Which apparently Square Enix is now 10 billion yen less rich. Square Enix used to have teams that had such solid coding, with little issues. I know they are just the publisher here and not the developer, but they used to take pride in everything they put their name on, can't believe they let a game release with that many issues. A real patch is something that adds things people have been wanting. Like Classic, or the Team Objective/Medal changes, or balancing weapons or more colors or the many others we've gotten. Granted it took us 17 patches and we're still
wanting needing more, but we're still getting things added.
Hmmm i don't get the Squenix part yo.
Which part? The fact that they don't care to drag their name into the mud with crappy games? Or the 10 billion yen loss?
Don't get me started on what I expect from Square Enix these days. I am a huge fan of Final Fantasy, but lately it's been only a good RPG and not an amazing RPG. The last thing they did that made me think highly of them was admiting FFXIV sucked and scrapping the entire game and starting over and giving everyone free membership.
