When in cover you should have reduced recoil and greater accuracy when aiming and blindfiring.

The problems I have with cover in UC3 are.

The transition going into & over into cover are too slow & clunky.

Button Mapping adds to the headache because the two most effective evasive mechanics are assigned to the same button & they tend to clash alot.

A cover based shooter like Uncharted could be so much better if the game & mechanics were more fluid like Gears, shouldn't take me 3 seconds to jump over cover & before I can get in, i'm dead because i'm left defense-less & open to getting shot from people 20ft away.

To add to the part about cover causing trouble while trying to evade, it takes a hurculean effort to get out of cover once you accidentally roll into it, especially when you try to evade off and your character just moves to another piece of cover:

Tries to roll, enters cover instead. Tries to leave cover, rolls to next cover piece. And so on and so on. I personally can't stand that myself.

And if cover became much more useful, I wouldn't mind ppl utilizing it more often and becoming dependent on it. I usually start TDM games off a bit aggressive. I sprint over to the enemies spawn area and trace their steps back to flank them. So if they wanna camp in cover, they're just asking to be flanked.

a small bit extra Stopping Power while in cover might be a good idea to slow down rushers.

Did any of you play Red Dead Redemtion? I think the cover system was pretty good. Quick and effective. I also like the fact that you can slide quickly from a certain distance. Though I'm not sure if it would suit Uncharted.... maybe

What canadian said. People would be able to just camp behind cover and use extra stopping power to mulch anyone trying to advance on them.

I love RDR. One of my favorite things was being able to slide so effectively into cover once you were close enough. It just felt awesome for some reason. Man I loved that game.
