Marked Man: Elimination

15 replies 910 views Edited Jun 8, 2013

Wouldn't it be cool if there was something like this?

5v5, 1 man is marked per team, no respawning.

It could add variety to either the OBJ or Elimination game modes.

It could be interesting but first off we need to make sure that the Marked man rotates after every kill.

If you think something is impossible, you’ll make it impossible.

well I was thinking there is one marked man, once he's killed the round is over. So the whole team needs to either protect him or take out the other team's mm.

Just a random idea. I'm just so tired of OBJ ending in deathmatch. and Elimination being so dull.

If this were to become a mode itself I'd probably hit myself in the face with my controller until my controller breaks. I do agree that there has to be something else besides Deathmatch, this definitely isn't the right alternative. I'd say just recycle a mode which has already been played or use a mode which hasn't been played yet in that round. Like sometimes you don't get to play Chain Reaction in a game, add that for the last game if necessary.

Multi-Marked Man shouldn't have been included in TO to begin with, a spin off version is even worse lol, but it's a cool concept this could work in Elimination when both teams are tied 2-2 possibly??

Here's an idea, maybe it's not good but whatever:

Once the game starts, a player from one team gets MM and one from the other. So each team must kill the other team's MM.

If a MM gets killed, he doesn't respawn until the end of the round and another teammate gets picked.

If a non MM gets killed, he respawns shortly after.

The first team to elliminate the other one wins.

So it's like Elimination but with a twist, the rounds are a little longer than the Elimination ones, and best out of 5 rounds wins.

Not exactly. Whoever isn't the MM and dies will respawn, so there's no camping but actually people running to kill the MM.

So it's not Marked Man but not Elimination either.

hmmm seems a good idea could promote teamwork, which we need more of.

One downside here is if one team takes to either of the two extremes: guarding the guy so heavily that they don't even try killing the other guy, or they want to kill the other marked man so bad they forget to cover their own.
