I'm with you too, dude. I've had my fair share of 5-man parties/clans who play public matches as if it's a clan game (it's an easy win, duh. You guys have all the tactical advantages while we randoms just met each other).

I'd opt for a merc playlist, but as people would argue the player pool's too small for this. I'd say balls to that, since I run into tons of solo players anyway, but the fact that I don't run into much parties mean the parties would have a crappier matchmaking.

It definitely can suck rolling solo. Especially when the few high level randoms get put on the high level party of 3-4's team. Or they just quit and leave you with noobs.

Lag is still a way bigger issue than level based matchmaking.

I used to play solo alot. Its actually quite fun for me to have a good game against parties of 5, when my team are noobs. But even with the loss, its still very enjoyful for me when they jelly of my not mainsteam sniper rifle.

What you do is put on a ticket so you don't late join then when you find players see how many bars they have or if they're in a party. If they have 3 bars or below or in a party of 3 or more sign out through XMB as long as voting hasn't started it won't be a loss.. Rinse, repeat until you find a good lobby.

^ a lot to go through, but yep.

Or just back out until you're not "Searching for Optimal" anymore. "Searching for players" seems to find less big parties and less 3bar and under players.

I must admit I did have my fair share of clan parties but haven't held any friendships with them, to me clans seem obscrure and i'd rather be with another friend playing our best & worst matches. Also, a 2 player buddy system breaks off 5 player clan groups.

C'est pas vrai

^ Pretty much sums up the matchmaking system.
