The Naughty Dog Community is vibrant and unique. In order to appeal to this we will be hosting fun and exciting events every week with online multiplayer video games from Naughty Dog. Please read through the questions and answers below before posting in this thread.

Sign ups for the Naughty Paws events on May 24th and May 25th will be accepted in this thread right now (unless there are no spots). Sign ups for any other Naughty Paws events will NOT be accepted until details about them have been posted in this thread.

No Naughty Dog Developers have made any reservations for May 24th or May 25th at this time.

Check this post for details on a regular basis to see if there are any changes throughout the week.

Naughty Paws FAQ

Q: What exactly are Naughty Paws and how do I participate?

A: Naughty Paws are events full of custom online multiplayer matches with some of Naughty Dog's top video games. These events are open to everyone. All you need to do is sign up for them when the necessary details have been made public so tell your friends! To sign up for a Naughty Paws event simply make a post in this thread requesting a spot for the next event. You cannot sign up for an event on behalf of someone else. Make sure that you include the PlayStation Network ID that you will be using for the event in your post and make sure that you clearly identify the event that you would like to attend if there is more than one Naughty Paws event scheduled. Failure to do so may result in you missing out on the event. If you are not sure that you can attend an event then you will be placed onto its reserves list (if you request a spot). It is your responsibility to ensure that the dates and times for these events are suitable for you before you sign up for them. Here is a Time Zone Converter that you can use: Time Zone Converter.

Each event will be led by pre-approved hosts and each host will run the event for up to nine other players. You will generally receive a friend request from your host the day (or night) of the event. Be sure to leave space on your friends list and accept this request if you don't want to miss out on the event! If unresolvable technical issues halt a Naughty Paws event and play cannot be continued then the event will be cancelled. If you experience some issues during an event and would like to still participate then try to restart the multiplayer.

Sometimes Naughty Dog Developers and SCEA Employees (i.e., special guests) will participate in these Naughty Paws events. Be on the lookout for these special events! Multiplayer cinema files from their perspectives may be uploaded onto YouTube and posted in this thread. In addition to this, footage from Naughty Paws events may be uploaded onto YouTube and/or streamed on TwitchTV.

Q: Is there anything else that I should know before I participate?

A: You should not join the host’s party unless you have been given an invitation. Please be patient and wait for your invitation. If you have not received an invitation from the host then you were either not online when the event started or you were unable to accept the host’s friend request for whatever reason. If the host expects you to join his or her party then he or she will invite you to the text chat for the Naughty Paws event (if one has been created). Please accept the text chat invitation because not everyone may have a microphone.

Players who join the host’s party without an invitation run the risk of being kicked from it in order to make room for individuals who signed up for the event. The only exception to this will be if the host has no more reserves available. With that being said, we expect everyone to be on their best behavior during these events whether they have signed up for them or not. If you are acting in a manner that is extremely offensive or if you are bombarding special guests with questions that they do not want to answer then you may be removed from the party. Repeat offenses will make it very difficult for you to participate in future Naughty Paws events. Treat everyone with respect and you will have nothing to worry about. Event hosts have the final say in your removal so please respect them.

Our Naughty Paws events are designed for everyone rather than the hardest of the hardcore. If you think that you might have a problem with experimental weapon modes, power plays, power weapons, or any of the people who might sign up for or be present during these events then Naughty Paws might not be for you. Event hosts strive to give players fun custom games rather than ultra-competitive ones. Don't become upset with people if they aren't playing this video game as competitively as you would like them to play it. If you start things with other players or insult them when they have no business being insulted then you can expect to be removed from the event. If you sign up for a Naughty Paws event with the intention of using glitches for any reason then you might also be removed from the event. It is expected that you will actually want to play custom games if you sign up for these Naughty Paws events. If you aren’t legitimately participating in our custom games then the host can always find other players who might be willing to do so.

Q: Are there any rewards or prizes associated with these Naughty Paws events?

A: If you sign up for a Naughty Paws event and make an effort to participate in it then you will be eligible for a reward. Those who only show up to play for one match are not eligible for this reward and those who do not sign up in this thread will never be eligible. The winner will be determined every week. He or she will receive our special "Naughty Paw" forum rank and he or she will be able to sport it in the PlayStation Community Forums for one week. The number of "Naughty Paw" ranks that will be temporarily awarded depends on the number of Naughty Paws events that take place each week and the number of people who sign up for them.

The PlayStation Network ID whose forum rank will change temporarily will be the one that is used to sign up for a Naughty Paws event in this thread (i.e., request a spot for the event). If you are someone who has a bunch of alternate accounts then exercise caution with this. With that being said, only forum members with regular ranks and rank shields are eligible for these rewards.

There is also a “Naughty Host” rank that is associated with these events. It is given to pre-approved hosts and there is no easy way to obtain this rank. If you would like to become a “Naughty Host” then you will need to demonstrate a consistent and unwavering interest in Naughty Paws and show me that you can be reliable. How can you do this? Signing up and participating in multiple Naughty Paws events is the best way to do this right now. Having things come up at the last minute severely hurts your chances of being approved.
