Re: No Fleet Foot in Uncharted 4 - discuss, please.

I didn't read all of the posts but..

I used to use FF with the M9 and would usually lose against laggy players doing the same. After the patch, TS has been my primary slot 1 booster. Now when in those same gunfights, I use the AK and strafe without FF and almost never lose. The AK just kinda nullifies FF on it's own.

AK's good like that. Honestly if you're having a lot of trouble with direct gunfights, just run around like I do. You get less direct gunfights because you'd be running away from them.

They're never going to take it out.

Fleet Foot would be better off out of the game. That has been the case since Uncharted 2.

I constantly find that either using it I pretty much win most of my battles and not using it against a FF user I lose most of the battles.

That isn't balanced if it makes the difference between winning or losing.

the one thing 1.03 got right in this game was giving everyone Flat Foot. Everyone has a fair chance then and other boosters were useful since the main one was useless.

As it stands though giving such an advantage is too much not to take up.

There are worse things in the game though.

At the risk of incurring people’s wrath, could it be said the FF suffers from an “image” problem?  That it is a generalist booster that happens to be good (but not foolproof) in a common combat situation?

I’m reminded of the Semi-auto rifle (SAR) nerf threads in TLOU.  A lot of people called for a nerf on the SAR.  But just because it’s good in all (not the BEST in any, mind you) situations doesn’t mean it’s OP.

In some respects, I see removing Fleet Foot (just as removing the SAR from TLOU) as forcing everyone playing the game to take on a specialist role and removing the flexibility of being a generalist.  Perhaps that an oversimplification and if that’s the direction that the majority want, so be it.

Regardless, if they removed FF entirely from the next game, I’d adjust and move on.  For the record, I was a Fleet Foot user but now that Team Safe has been moved to slot 1, FF’s no longer an option in my book (I will not needlessly kill my teammates with my grenades).

I personally enjoy using Fleet Foot, moving quickly is just something that I prefer. Overall, the effects of Fleet Foot is based on the skill of the player unlike the other boosters such as Cloaked, Team Safe, Scoped In, Weapon Expert and even Bargin. Im not saying that if you use these boosters you are unskilled, but these boosters are all passive, they dont require much work from the player to be effective.

Cloaked will always keep you hidden, Team Safe will always stop you from being stunned,Scoped in always reduces pain wobble, Weapon Expert always allows for two attachments and Bargin will always reduce the cost of kickbacks. Anyone could use Fleet Foot, to use it well takes practice and skill.

If you think something is impossible, you’ll make it impossible.

Wouldn't FF be ineffective if you're getting sniped or ambushed, by the way? How are you all getting direct gunfights or something? If you get ambushed, FF or not you are already at a disadvantage simce you'll start shooting at lower health.

I'm not defending FF or anything, I'm just worried about why people make it sound like some god booster.

what i dont understand is why players are always blaming boosts on how good a player is... they help, but you are either good or not... !es i know the cheaters can benefit from FF, but they benefit from there cheating in every phase and most of the time is themm taking all the extra bullets that ends up helping them. i personally dont use ff alot cause i dont have top notch aim, because flanking is my strong suit., but i do not begrudge the honest player using it. i mean i kill fleet footers all the time you just have to be smart about. in short, anyboost and any gun is legit in my opinion, the only negative being the laggers and hackers... stop them and most of the match up problems stop as well. i use either team safe or weapon expert and do just fine against the FFers. what i would do is add a whole bunch of new boosts to make the possible combinations more varied. long live the uncharted series!

Some boosters help players a little.

Revenge, Monkey Man, Daredevil, Power Hunter and so on.

Fleet Foot. vs Revenge - Revenge gives 1 free kill, more if there are stupid people, Fleet Foot gives movement enhancement and offers more kills than Revenge ever could dream of.

Fleet Foot vs Monkey Man - Both totally different but have the same concept of enhancing player movement, however Monkey Man doesn't enhance your abilities to win gun battles.

Fleet Foot vs Daredevil - Daredevil is a sacrifice for ammo, it has downsides, Fleet Foot doesn't.

Power Hunter is actually as bad as Fleet Foot... Both give huge advantages in the field of battle. Power Hunter allows you to note who has the power weapons if you pay attention to player arrows, it shows you where they have been dropped too so you can elect to pick up or farm that area. It works like Uncharted 2's situational awareness in certain situations.

Still seeing more of whats going on vs enhanced moving speeds... Both are bad and unbalanced.

Fleet Foot isn't alone. They are the only two that have player enhancing aspects.
