What do you want the touch screen to do in UC4 if anything?
I want it to be usefull and functional, not something gimmicky, with the sixaxis the grenade throw was horrible, but balancing on trees or using it to jump backwards was pretty good...
with the touchscreen I don't know, I hope that Uncharted 4 will have underwater gameplay (not just swimming below the surface like in Uncharted 3), maybe they can use the touchscreen to control Nate in the water, for instance sweep your finger from either left to right or right to left to move to the right/left quickly, I don't know maybe as way to dodge attacking sharks or something, just trying to look for ideas here...
but I think this touchscreen in general can't do much, because when using it, it disables you to use the colored buttons, r1, r2 and the right stick, so it can't really be used in gameplay, the only practical way I see it work is in menu's, let it work like a mouse for a pc...
The touchpad does not have a screen, correct?
We could use it as help in the whole button problems we have (cover/roll, weapon/nade, etc.)
Circle is coverroll with emphasis on rolling (character will roll instead of stick on tight spaces)
Circle + hold on the touchpad is coverroll with emphasis on cover (like, you know, right now)
Triangle will emphasize on weapon pickups
Triangle + hold will emphasize on grenade and idol pickups.
but remember that the touchpad (unlike the ps vita) is on the front of the controller, so it would get pretty complicated with your fingers having to do such common actions always in combination with the touchpad
Isn't the touchpad a smoother surface from the front and over to the back?
from what I have heard it's only a touchscreen on the front, between te colored buttons and the directional buttons and above the sticks
