This day you shall be me in paradise.

HODIE MECVM ERIS IN PARADISO

Not to go to crazy or anything, but I KNEW IT, KNEW IT KNEW IT KNEW IT.

Oh, and Madagascar is on the map, as well as the Island of St.Mary.  Not much to go on, but someone's really mad,  "I have lost everything"  "Every betrayal us all"(?) "Abandon your hopes", yeah not a good sign.  Looks like Drake's past will be catching up with him.

Staight from Wikipedia, The Cape of Good Hope is lingered on during the trailer,
When following the western side of the African coastline from the equator, however, the Cape of Good Hope marks the point where a ship begins to travel more eastward than southward. Thus, the first modern rounding of the cape in 1488 by Portuguese explorer Bartolomeu Dias was a milestone in the attempts by the Portuguese to establish direct trade relations with the Far East (although in his histories Herodotus proves, disbelievingly, that some Phoenicians had done so far earlier than this[1]). Dias (or Diaz) called the cape Cabo das Tormentas. "Cape of Storms" was the original name of the "Cape of Good Hope".[2]

I'm probably over thinking this, but the Cape is literally a change in direction, What does this mean, a change in direction for the characters?  A change in terms of story, will all bets be off this chapter?  A death of a primary character?

It's not like there's a thread already to post your thoughts or anything...

You mean Drake being a mass-murdering, archeological-site-blowing-up-ing caught up with him?

True but also it could be related to Captain James Misson and his utopia anarchist colony founded in the late 17th century named LIbertatia.

The island motto was: "For god and liberty" which also appears in the video.

for my two cents I think its a prequel, just hoping it doesn't become a whole pirates of the Caribbean theme although in this case could be pirates of the Indian ocean lol.

But yeah another reason to buy the ps4, so excited!!
