Was 3-Player Co-op an afterthought?

6 replies 227 views Edited Mar 1, 2014
OK, I just started getting into co-op online. I play Adventure, the one with a story line.
I've noticed something about it: the third person in the co-op is kind of ignored during cutscenes. It also seemed weird that cut scenes were exactly the same for two and three players.
So was the third player like an afterthought?

Do you play LBP2? If so, could you take the time to check out my levels?

^It is because Co op is a minimum of 2 players, meaning the story has and the map has to function with two players if the third player is unavailable.

That's why you have the third player saying unimportant crap. (Chloe lol)

What AK said.

They could avoid this in future games if they replace a player with an AI when they leave, but they would have to sort the bugs out, we don't want another Drake from Monastery.

And with two players only, during conversations the characters have longer pauses, because there is no 3rd person to say the "unimportant crap" :smileytongue:

Not sure why anybody would "complain" about this, i'd say this is just a nitpick, i'm okay with how it is.
