Re: Why doesn't ND do something about the clan parties?

Mar 22, 2013

I can't play this game unless I'm playing with friends, too much BS.  I used to play alone many, many months ago.  Now I'm to the point where if none of my friends are online, I'll just turn my PS3 off and do something else.

@Death That does explain the share button in the new controller. Anyway, as much as games should have a social aspect, not everyone plays it for that reason.

I play videogames to GET AWAY from reality. Have some me time, you know.

It's practically impossible to get me time in real life because there's no such thing as me time in real life, y'know?

The thing that some people fail to realise is that this game is designed around playing with your buddies. Sure there are going to be turds whom boost, act like they are far superior to everyone else in 5 man parties but the thing is that playing with friends is one of the main reasons as to why people still play this game. Heck it's the social aspects that glued me to UC2 and UC3.

If I didn't have a group of friends to play with, I would have left the community ages ago.

If you play by yourself all of the time, OF COURSE YOU WILL HAVE A BAD TIME!

Get some buddies and play with them! Form a 5 man party. Heck you could even make some good friends along the way most of the time. The point is why should ND destroy the party system, a positive and very important element to any MP, just to satisfy people whom don't want to socialise or make friends?

I'm not saying you should remove parties, I mean, I abuse level-based matchmaking, so how exactly can I complain about people taking advantage of partying without sounding like a hypocrite?

Anyway. Point is, like I said, some also like playing alone. Me? I loved playing alone in HC and some lab variants.

Just about every game out there has parties, the only game i have ever seen even them out is League of Legends and that's because they have millions of people online at one time .

Uc3 does not have that along with a ton of other games

Do you ever consider how unenjoyable it is for the other people? I presume you haven't. It's not fun, not the least bit! If you wanna talk to your friends do it over the phone. The fun of the game is the game itself, not interacting with your friends. Parties is just a way to dominate.

Played a few games yesterday.  Lots of free-2-play people, which is great.  Not so great was all the stomping they were getting.

I don't get why players who are obviously really skilled and play in parties feel the need to dominate so completely.  Does someone who is doing K/D 24/3, 15/2 consistently really need to run for the T-Bolt and the Hammer every time?  Why not switch to a side arm occasionally?

It's nice to be good at something, but if the community has any chance of growing (I realise this is hopeless) people have to give the less skilled played a chance at some fun.

I don't agree with splitting parties, I do think parties could be a little more sportsman like.

It's perfectly fine to play with your friends, because playing with friends is more fun. Period.
It's true, nothing to say (well, IMHO playing against friends is even more fun, mut maybe it's just me).

But...

I'd like to point out that many, many, many parties just want to get an easy and unfair win against lower level randoms.

I mean, if you are in a party of 5, at least you could be nice and use negative boosters, ore use different weapons, you know, aim the kal, use the tau, stuff like that.

This way you can play with your friends, have fun, and maybe your team won't win 50-20, or score 200 point in King of The Hill in 1 minute... You already have the extremely high advantage of being in a party, I think you can handle some handicap and still win the game.

Ah, and maybe the other team would actually enjoy the match.

No, parties are not like that. Apparently they don't want a challenge, they have more fun destroying other teams playing with gold boosters, the most powerful kickbacks and so on.

I don't even understand what's the fun part in winning 50-10. Please someone tell me, I'm curious.

I usually play in a party of 5 and I usually play Objectives. If I see a team of decent-good players I will try, if they are noobs then I just run around, trying to get BBQ kills, neck brakes, sniping.

If you think something is impossible, you’ll make it impossible.
