OK on Descent I am into the "Mirror Room" and have spent about an hour trying to figure out how to get out. I assume the object is to clear off the main mirror to the left so that it will shine bright enough like the rest to pass the strength of the beam of light to the needed sequence to open the passage through the blocked wall. HOW DO YOU GET THAT MIRROR CLEANED AND/OR SHINY??????????? AAAARGH! The rooms before it were relatively easy and this one has me completely stuck to the point I am wondering if it's a glitch with running the map on the PS3.

That is where I get stuck too. I don't have the PC version, so I can't check.  If you want something easier try Toon Doom. 10 mins to finish.

Hey Pure, where did you get Descent? Who is the author? I have looked around the internet for some sort of solution/walkthrough but can't find anything. I HATE not being able to solve something I have started let alone something I cannot save progress to. We have to find out what the secret of the mirror room is. See if you can back-track where you found it to the person who made it.

I want answers dammit!! After giving up on Descent, I tried The Ball which is way cooler but again I got stuck in the first level. Again, not sure if it's because I am missing something, OR if the game does not run properly after the PS3 cook. After you get The Ball down the long hallway into the place where you jump through the doors and go around up the tunnel to the 2nd "Secret" the Ball is now stuck going nowhere and you can't get to the next person activated switch across the way. I think the elevator pad isn't showing up right because there is one there but instead of going up and down it just seems to disappear. HELP!!!

The reason I think the PS3 cooks may not be working for both of these mini-games is Descent is fairly easy and then becomes impossible. The Ball tutorial doesn't even work right and it's obvious because you spawn with a gun instead of the actual tool you use in the game to make The Ball move, and if you don't set the player count to 1, other bots will spawn with you and start acting like complete idiots and eventually the Tutorial will end as a retard Deathmatch. That being said watching the Tutorial did help immensely since I had relatively no idea what was going on in the game. The mini-game is however VERY cool and I love that this game (UT3) has so much variety to offer FOR FREE.

PLEASE tell me someone knows the secret to The Ball. I want to finish each level although it's fortunate that it comes in levels you can play independently. Otherwise I would be just as stuck and as pissed as I am at the Qixing map.

Which level of the ball are you playing?.....I know that the tutorial and survival don't work (starts as deathmatch). In the tutorial swith to the impact hammer to push the ball around.  The regular levels work fine on the PS3 and I have gotten through the first 4.  You get the 'skull' impact hammer. Try those levels.
