So basically there are specific things that you can't cook, but you can basically get the core content (the gametype, weapons, characters, sounds*) but not the custom menus?
Some PC mods depend on config options and custom menu screens. Remember the PS3 version code/script is slightly different than the PC. Mainly due to using a controller instead of keyboard. So some keys were deleted, so even if you got a menu up and running on the PS3 you would have to script the controller to activate/use it. Most code is written for the PC version anyways and my PS3 is grateful for the free stuff that is already available.

is it really hard to cook something for ps3? Cause i dont find much for ps3 on the official epic forums. To cook something for ps3, all I need to have is the file and game on PC right? cant be too hard can it?

Never said it was hard, all you really do is press the cook button for most stuff. But for the medium % that don't work for whatever reason, it can lead to the "I give up"s.

I've found that because UT was always a primary PC game, that most people can't be bothered to cook maps to the PS3. It's almost like they turn their noses up at us for playing it on the PS3 rather than on the PC. I'm guessing cause the PS3 version can't support 32 players, and is a bit slower than the PC versions, and of course the fact that its on a console. There are a ton of great maps/mods out there which sadly never get cooked to the PS3.
If you check out the Epic forums, I get that vibe a lot. Although I do have the game on PC. I was having some issues with it, and got it for the PS3.
It probably had a lot to do with the fact that UT3 on the PS3 didn't originally allow custom sounds, so people couldn't be bothered to change their maps to cook them to
PS3... Now that custom sounds are available, I think it was a bit too late for people to care.
UT3 is still one of my favorite games. But I hope they release the next one so its ON PAR with the PC version.
