Unreal Tournament 3 (PS3)

Hey guys. I grew up playing games like Starseige Tribes and UT.

I was just wondering, who has more online players? UT3 or Section 8?

I like both games, but can only afford one. And I'd rather ask now, since section 8 is on sale.

(Doesnt UT3 have a lot of mods and stuff, even on the PS3?)


If someone can provide some insight, that'd be nice.

Well unreal tournament 3 is a cool game and all.. but  Section 8 is cooler. Besides section 8 is more popular and has more players.!

Both are really good games, here are some highlights:

UT3:

-Custom content support

-Wider range of gamemodes and maps

-AI seems to be smarter/more tactical

-Longer singleplayer with Co-op (Like you'd want to play it anyway)

-Cheaper

S8:

-Innovative gameplay

-Large online community

-Rank up/ leveling system online

-Avalible on PSN

-Largely objective and team based gameplay

Both are wonderful games, but if I had to choose Id go with Unreal Tournament; but thats just me.

I tried Section 8 and I didn't really like the overall feel. Seemed to take too many bullets to take someone down. It felt a bit like Halo but much worse. I also don't like that you can spawn right on your enemy and they can do the same.

Section 8 community maybe a bit more active right now, but that's because the game is on sale. Where there will always be people playing UT3. Because its an overall more polished and fun game.

I'd go with Unreal Tournament.

Honestly I didn't like Section 8 much.  One thing I did like about the game though was the ability to deploy from the air skydiving when spawning.  I'd play Haze (underrated) b4 Section 8 imo.

I like section 8 but UT is better because of all of the features.
